I think it was a very good idea for us to have the presentations because the groups of the students were able to investigate certain cases and their outcomes and importances. After they did the research got to share there findings but in there perspective of the case. This was interesting because every student is different with there beliefs so they focus on different things. But some cases stood out more than others.
New Jersey vs T.L.O. always sticks in my mind because the fact that teachers hold more power with searches than police officers do is important to know if your trying to hide something in your purse like what T.L.O. was doing. Another case Mapp vs Ohio expresses how important to not abuse the 4th amendment in the sense of you need a warrant to search someones house and that you can only confiscate things that the warrant says you can. And lastly, Brown vs Board of Education, this is one of the cases where the defendant won and pretty much nothing happened in the end till after and order was passed and military was involved to end school segregation but it still took awhile for all of the turmoil around this case to settle. So in the end feel this was a very good activity/project for students to do.
